A couple shots from last Friday at Oktoberfest, which was at Pier 48 right behind AT&T Park.  These were taken with my DMC-LX3. I’m pretty impressed with the lens quality of this point and shoot.  It’s definitely taken over my trusty Rebel XT as my all around camera, and much more convenient to carry.

This app has totally made me post more pictures to my Flickr. Simply point and shoot, then apply filter. I’ve been using the random filter generator, but you can pre-select if you want to. There’s just something about taking photos and not knowing what the end result will be. It makes you forget about spending too much time taking that perfect shot, but instead just capturing the moment, which is really what photography is all about. Kinda takes you back to shooting with film, where you don’t know what it looks like until you develop it.
